Tom Brady = The GOAT
Let’s get that out of the way.
Not just for winning 7 Super Bowls.
Could you sit in front of a live TV audience, numerous celebrities, and closest friends and take a verbal thrashing?
Personal life, professional life, you name it, someone making fun of you for something.
Any joke imaginable- nothing off-limits.
Didn’t think so. I know I couldn’t.
To Brady’s credit, he sat there and took it….GOAT.
Just like when he would stand in the pocket with 300-lb dudes trying to rip his head off. He was calm, cool, and collected.
He didn’t need to subject himself to three hours of punishment, but he did—all in the name of fun.
What was refreshing was that nothing was off-limits. It wasn’t about being politically correct or hurting someone’s feelings. It was a show designed to see friends give each other a hard time.
And believe it or not, no one there was harmed. It might have actually brought people together (Bill Belichick & Robert Kraft).
I’m not saying we should always be blunt, make fun of each other, or go above and beyond with what we say, but in a world where it often feels like any and everything will be questioned, it was nice to see a group of people just let it rip.
Let me be clear, I’m also not saying I agreed with everything or anything like that.
Just that when everything always feels judged, questioned, and ridiculed, it was nice to see a group of people let it go out of pure enjoyment for each other.
When’s the last time you did something for your own enjoyment?
